How to get there?
From Hallstatt: take shuttle bus (around 3-4 hours), you can book in this website.
From Salzburg: take LEO Express bus (around 3 hours).
From Prague: a lot of buses run between Prague and Cesky Krumlov and it will take around 3 hours, so it’s very easy to take day trip from Prague. You can check timetable and book ticket with Flixbus, Student Agency or LEO Express.
What to do and see?
Explore Cesky Krumlov castle and castle garden. This second largest castle in the Czech Republic is the most-visited site in town. Built in the 13th century and kept expanding over the centuries, today this castle is a fascinating mix of many architectural styles.
Visit the church of St. Vitus, one of the oldest Gothic churches in this country. The church stands on top of a promontory, watching over the town. You can see this church from anywhere in town, so you can easily find the way to get there.
Get lost in old town. Cesky Krumlov’s historic center has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You just need to walk around the old town and stroll along the Vltava River to discover the mix of Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance style buildings.
